Our exclusive Christmas Cards

Based on specially commissioned paintings, our cards show steam hauled trains in snowy settings on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.

Card A is our new card for this year and consists of a scene at Welshpool (Raven Square) station in modern times with a train about to depart for Llanfair. The motive power is Beyer Peacock 0-6-0 tank ex-GWR No.823 ‘Countess’. No.19, the Romanian 0-8-0T No.764.425, waits on the loop.

Card B features GWR days on the line with a view of No.822 ‘The Earl’ leaving Castle Caereinion with a mixed train in the early 1930s.

The message inside reads: With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year (also in Welsh in Card A).
