Fares - 2010

All of our trains are scheduled to be hauled by one of our steam locomotives. 

Welshpool to Llanfair Caereinion and back, or vice versa.

Also available : One way and part journey fares,  Party rates for groups of 10 or more paying adults / senior citizens booked in advance. Special trains can be hired to suit your requirements.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are permitted to travel for a small fee, however they should be kept on a lead at all times.  We regret that only guide dogs are permitted in the tea room at Llanfair Caereinion.

Payment

Tickets can be bought at our booking offices at Welshpool or Llanfair Caereinion, or if boarding at an intermediate station from the guard of the train.  We accept most major credit and debit cards (Not American Express) at our booking offices, however the guard on the train cannot accept payment by this method.  Cash or Cheques with a Cheque Guarantee Card are acceptable at both booking offices and on the train.

Group Travel

The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway offers discounts for groups of 10 or more paying adults / senior citizens booked at least 24 hours before departure, for both single and return journeys.  School rates also available.  For further details and Group Fares please email us at info@wllr.org.uk or telephone 01938 810441.
